Ingredients: 1 kg chuck roast, cut into large cubes; 2 carrots, finely diced; 1 tbsp. chopped garlic; 1 onion, coarsely chopped; 2 celery, finely chopped; 2 tbsp Montreal steak seasonings; 2 tbsp. Baseball Mustard; 1 tablespoon flour; 1 can Guinness stout 473 ml; 3 cups beef broth; 1 sprig rosemary; 1 tbsp. thyme; 1 tbsp. Cayenne hot sauce; Salt and pepper to taste; Serve with mashed potatoes, rice or pasta

Enhanced with our Montreal steak seasonings, Baseball Mustard and Cayenne hot sauce, this dish is the perfect comfort food for this season.

Allow 4 hours cooking time for the meat to come apart easily.

Ingrédients

1 kg chuck roast, cut into large cubes
2 carrots, finely diced
1 tbsp. chopped garlic
1 onion, coarsely chopped
2 celery, finely chopped
2 tbsp Montreal steak seasonings
2 tbsp. Baseball Mustard
1 tablespoon flour
1 can Guinness stout 473 ml
3 cups beef broth
1 sprig rosemary
1 tbsp. thyme
1 tbsp. Cayenne hot sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice or pasta

Préparation

In a large saucepan, brown the beef on each side with a drizzle of olive oil. Remove from pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add the carrots, onion, garlic and celery and sauté for a few minutes.
Add the steak seasonings, flour and mustard and continue cooking for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add Guinness stout, beef broth, thyme, rosemary and Cayenne hot sauce. Cover and bake at 350°F for 4 hours.
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice or pasta.
