HISTORY OF FIREBARNS
Founded in Quebec City in 2015, Firebarns sauces is a hot sauce and bbq sauce company. Aiming to democratize the world of hot sauce and make it accessible to all. The 2 owners Frank Menard and Pierre-Olivier Drouin are two passionate people whose goal is to be able to distribute their products everywhere on the planet. The company quickly took off in September 2015 when it entered its first big box market.
The media quickly became interested in the Quebec City company, with severalarticles and interviewspublished in major media such as the Quebec City newspaper, Le Soleil, Les Affaires, the Montreal newspaper and many others.
The appearance on the TV show Dans l'œil du dragon, interviews on Salut Bonjour, on the TV news and a large presence on the radio quickly increased the brand's notoriety.
THE POINTS OF SALE ARE EXPANDING
Since then, the number of sales outlets has grown and the company now has approximately 1000 sales outlets and more than 300 restaurants throughout Quebec.
The concern for the quality of the product and for buying locally has led the company to affiliate with a local farm to grow hot peppers on Quebec soil. To this day, several hundred tons of peppers are grown here each year for Firebarns sauces.
NEW PRODUCTS LAUNCH
Having developed a complete line of hot sauces, it was in 2019 that Firebarns launched its line of BBQ sauces which has been a big hit in supermarkets ever since.
In 2020, the company entered the market with a complete line of products for Bloody Caesar. A Bloody mix, spices and pickled beans have been a huge success online and is now entering the supermarkets.
In 2020, the 2 entrepreneurs opened a 100% automated production plant on the south shore of Quebec City in the Levis area. With a staff of 15 employees, the company now produces hundreds of thousands of bottles per year that are distributed throughout the province.
