Devil's Chicken Wings

Red lacquered honey-glazed chicken wings, spiced up with our Trinidad Scorpion hot sauce – sticky, sweet, smoky, and hellish. Texas BBQ sauce provides the rich, smoky flavor, honey caramelizes the wings, and Trinidad Scorpion pushes the heat to the max. Serve with honey to temper the fire between bites.

Ingredients

Wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

Devil's Marinade

  • 1/2 cup Texas BBQ Sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 tbsp. Trinidad Scorpion Hot Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • A few drops of red food coloring
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix the Texas BBQ sauce, honey, Trinidad Scorpion sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red food coloring. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Pour approximately two-thirds of the marinade over the wings and mix well to coat them. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, 4 hours if possible. Keep the remaining marinade in a separate bowl to baste the wings during cooking. Do not reuse any marinade that has been in contact with raw chicken without boiling it first.
  3. Preheat the BBQ to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates.
  4. Place the wings on the BBQ and cook for 25 to 35 minutes, turning them regularly. During cooking, baste the wings with the reserved marinade to create a red, shiny, sticky, and well-caramelized glaze.
  5. When the wings are well grilled, crispy on the outside, and completely cooked through, remove them from the BBQ.
  6. Serve immediately with a generous drizzle of honey on top. Add green onions or lime wedges if desired.
