SMOKED MEAT BREAKFAST GNOCCHIS
A recipe for breakfast gnocchi prepared with a hollandaise sauce enhanced with our Honey Mustard BBQ sauce, dill pickles, smoked meat and cheese curds.
Served with poached eggs, these gnocchi are sure to please any breakfast lover.
You can also enhance your breakfast with a hot sauce of your choice, which will bring a little heat to your mouth, depending on the degree desired.
500 g gnocchi
125 g smoked meat, coarsely chopped
125 g cheese curds
2-3 dill pickles, finely diced
2 poached eggs
1 cup hollandaise sauce
3 tbsp. Honey Mustard BBQ Sauce
Chives to serve
In a large frying pan, fry the gnocchi in a little butter or olive oil until golden brown on all sides.
Place half the gnocchi, smoked meat and cheese curds on a plate. Repeat for 2nd plate.
Place in broiler oven for 4 to 5 minutes, or until cheese begins to melt and brown.
Mix the Honey Mustard BBQ sauce with hot hollandaise sauce.
Add the poached egg to the plate, pour over the hollandaise sauce and sprinkle with dill pickles and chives.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Add a few drops of your favorite Firebarns hot sauce.
