CARIBBEAN TUNA TATAKI

Discover our Caribbean Tuna Tataki, an exotic and spicy dish. This 400 g block of tuna is seasoned with our Firebarns Caribbean jerk spices and lightly seared in olive oil. Served with pineapple, jalapeño and cilantro salsa, and enhanced with our Scotch Bonnet hot sauce. Perfectly balanced with a touch of lime, this tataki offers a fresh and bold dining experience.

Ingredients

  • 400 g block of tuna
  • 2 tbsp. Caribbean jerk spice
  • 1 drizzle of olive oil
  • 1/3 pineapple cut into small cubes
  • 1 Jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoon of coriander
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 1 drizzle of olive oil
  • 1 C. 1 tbsp Firebarns Caribbean Spice
  • 3 tbsp. tablespoon spicy Sriracha mayo
  • 1 C. tbsp Firebarns Scotch Bonnet
  • 1 C. tablespoon of olive oil
  • Lime wedge for serving

Preparation

  1. Pat the piece of tuna dry and coat it on each side with the Caribbean spices. In a pan over high heat, sear the piece of tuna on each side for about 1 minute. To book.
  2. In a bowl, combine the pineapple, Jalapeńo pepper, coriander, lime juice, Caribbean spices and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, Firebarns Scotch Bonnet and olive oil.
  4. Cut the tuna into slices of approximately 1 cm and serve with the mayo and pineapple salsa.
