Steak Cupcakes

Succumb to our steak cupcakes, a delicious blend of ground beef, enhanced with our Steak BBQ Sauce and our Montreal seasonings. With their melting bocconcini center, these cupcakes are filled with creamy garlic mashed potatoes. Perfect for a feast with friends, served with crispy fried onions and a touch of fresh chives. A guaranteed explosion of flavors!

Ingredients

  • 600 g ground beef
  • 50 ml of Steak BBQ Sauce
  • 3 tbsp. breadcrumbs
  • 2 French shallots, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 6 balls of bocconcini
  • 2 tbsp. Montreal Steak seasonings
  • Fried onions for serving
  • Chopped chives for serving

Mashed potatoes

  • 4 potatoes
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 cup 35% cream
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix together the beef, Steak BBQ Sauce, breadcrumbs, shallots and egg.
  2. Take the equivalent of about 100 g in your hand and stuff the center with a ball of bocconcini.
  3. Close tightly and place in a muffin pan fitted with paper cases.
  4. Sprinkle with Montreal Steak seasonings and place on the BBQ at 375°F for about 30 minutes.
  5. Peel the potatoes and place in boiling salted water for 15 to 20 minutes.
  6. Drain and add butter, cream, garlic powder and blend until smooth and creamy.
  7. Using a piping bag, decorate the cupcakes with the mashed potatoes.
  8. Sprinkle with fried onions and chives before serving.
