Shepherd's Pie Poutine

To celebrate Quebec's National Day, here's a fusion of two classic Quebec dishes. Poutine meets shepherd's pie! An explosion of flavor enhanced with the famous Firebarns Ketchup. Prepared with beautiful homemade fries, this poutine will transport you to the heart of Quebec culture in just one bite.

Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes cut into fries
  • 500 g of ground beef
  • 1 white onion, finely chopped
  • 100 ml of BBQ Steak sauce
  • 400 g of cheese curds
  • 2 ears of corn
  • 1 cup poutine sauce
  • Firebarns Ketchup to taste

Preparation

  1. In the oil or air fryer, cook the fries until desired doneness.
  2. Cook the corn on the cob at 350°F on the BBQ or in the oven.
  3. On the griddle or in a pan, cook the ground beef with the onion and BBQ Steak sauce.
  4. Cut the corn into kernels and brown in a pan with 2 tbsp of butter.
  5. Assemble the poutine with fries, cheese, gravy, ground beef and corn and serve with Firebarns Ketchup.
