SCORPION RIGATONI, ITALIAN SAUSAGES AND BURRATA

Discover our Rigatoni Italian Sausages & Burrata, spiced up with our spicy Scorpion Vodka sauce. Rigatoni is tossed with a rich tomato sauce, Italian sausage meat and melty burrata. A few drops of our hottest sauce add an intense touch. Garnished with fresh basil, these rigatoni offer an explosion of flavors.

Ingredients

  • 450 g cooked and drained rigatoni pasta
  • 450 g Italian sausage meat
  • 250 g of burrata
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes (796 ml)
  • 1 can of tomato sauce (398 ml)
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 C. finely chopped garlic
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 5 to 6 drops of Scorpion Vodka Hot Sauce
  • 50 ml of red wine
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A drizzle of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. In a large saucepan, brown the sausage meat with a drizzle of olive oil. When the sausage is nicely browned, remove from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, brown the onion and garlic for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Deglaze with red wine and add the diced tomatoes, lemon juice, tomato sauce, sausage meat and Scorpion Vodka Hot Sauce.
  3. Season with salt and pepper and simmer over medium/high heat for about 15 minutes or until the mixture has reduced by about half.
  4. -Add the pasta and continue cooking for 5 minutes. Serve with pieces of burrata and sprinkle with basil. Salt and pepper to taste.
