Fried Bacon and Mushroom Ravioli

A recipe for Air Fryer fried ravioli with a creamy bacon and Shiitake mushroom sauce. The breading is a blend of Italian breadcrumbs and Caesar Firebarns spices. Perfect for an evening with friends or a first date, this recipe is sure to be a success. A quick and easy recipe that will please everyone!

Ingredients

  • 10-12 prepared ravioli
  • ½ cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp. tablespoon of Bloody Caesar spices
  • 1 egg
  • 5 slices of bacon, roughly chopped
  • 1 French shallot, finely chopped
  • 250g. Shiitake mushrooms, roughly chopped
  • 1 C. tablespoon of butter
  • 1 cup of 15% cooking cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan shavings for serving
  • Chopped green onions for serving

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix the Italian breadcrumbs and Caesar spices. Beat an egg in a 2nd bowl.
  2. Dip the ravioli in the beaten egg, then in the breadcrumbs and place in the Air Fryer at 390F. For 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. In a pan, cook the bacon until slightly crispy. Remove from the pan and place on absorbent paper.
  4. In the same pan, add the French shallot, mushrooms and butter. Continue cooking for about 5 minutes or until the mushrooms begin to brown.
  5. Add cream, salt, pepper and a pinch of Caesar spices to taste. Leave to simmer for a few minutes until the sauce is creamy.
  6. Serve the ravioli over the mushroom sauce and sprinkle with bacon, parmesan and green onions.
