Moose Double Smash Burger

A juicy double smash burger with a unique moose flavour, enhanced with the intensity of our Montreal spices. Topped with crispy bacon, crispy breaded cheese curds, and finished with our Tomato Ketchup and Baseball Mustard twisted with Ghost Hot Sauce and maple syrup for the perfect blend of fire and sweetness. This is the perfect burger for true lovers of Canadian flavours with a touch of heat!

Ingredients

  • 500 g of grounded moose meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 to 3 tbsp Montreal Steak seasonings
  • 2 brioche burger buns
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 50 ml maple syrup
  • Firebarns Tomato Ketchup
  • Fried onions

Spicy Maple Mustard

  • 2 tbsp old-fashioned mustard
  • 2 tbsp Firebarns Baseball Mustard
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 4 to 5 drops of Ghost Hot Sauce

Fried cheese curds

  • 150 g cheese curds
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup crushed ketchup chips

Preparation

  1. In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients for the spicy maple mustard and set aside.
  2. Brush bacon slices with maple syrup, sprinkle with Montreal Steak seasonings and bake at 425°F until desired doneness.
  3. In a mixing bowl, mix the moose meat, breadcrumbs, egg and Montreal seasonings, mix well and shape into 4 balls.
  4. Cook the meatballs in a large skillet and crush them well using a press and parchment paper.
  5. In three separate bowls, place flour, beaten eggs and crushed ketchup chips. Dip cheese in flour, then egg and finally crushed chips and cook in Air Fryer at 400°F for about 6 to 7 minutes.
  6. Assemble the burger with spicy maple mustard, bacon, meatballs, fried cheese curds, fried onions and add our Tomato Ketchup.
