Memphis BBQ Egg Roll Bowl

Savor our ground beef, cabbage, and carrot egg roll bowl, enhanced with sweet and sour Firebarns Memphis BBQ sauce and Ramen Japanese BBQ Sauce. A generous recipe with hints of ginger and sesame that reinvents the egg roll in the form of a bowl cooked on the griddle.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1 yellow onion, small diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp. fresh grated ginger
  • 4 cups cabbage, red cabbage and carrot mix
  • 2 tbsp. Ramen Japanese BBQ Sauce
  • ½ cup Memphis BBQ Sauce, divided
  • 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil
  • ½ tsp. chili flakes, optional
  • 2 green onions
  • White and black sesame seeds
  • Pepper

Preparation

  1. On the plancha, sauté the beef and onion over medium-high heat until the beef is well browned. Add the garlic, ginger, and, if desired, the chili flakes.
  2. Add the cabbage and carrots. Pour 2 tbsp of Firebarns Ramen Sauce directly over them and stir-fry for 3 to 5 minutes, keeping the vegetables slightly crisp.
  3. Mix everything together, then add ⅓ cup of Firebarns Memphis BBQ sauce and the sesame oil. Stir-fry for another 1 to 2 minutes, until the sauce begins to caramelize and glaze the beef and vegetables.
  4. Serve in a bowl and finish with a generous drizzle of Memphis BBQ sauce, green onions, and sesame seeds.
