BARNITO CALIENTE'S CHILI CHEESE FRIES

Discover our Firebarns Barnito Caliente Chili Cheese Fries, made with our Southwest Black Beer & Chipotle BBQ Sauce. Crispy fries topped with beef chili, beans, red peppers and melted cheese. Topped with sour cream and garnished with chives and jalapenos for a burst of spicy, comforting flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can of red beans 540 ml
  • 1 can of black beans 540 ml
  • 1 can of tomato sauce 398 ml
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes 798ml
  • 1 cup Southwest BBQ Sauce
  • 1 red pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 4-6 slices of orange cheese
  • 750g of fries of your choice
  • Chives and jalapeno slices for garnish

Preparation

  1. In a large saucepan, brown the beef and onion with a drizzle of olive oil until the beef is cooked through.
  2. Drain and add beans, tomato sauce, beef broth, diced tomatoes, bell pepper, Southwest BBQ Sauce, tomato paste, cumin and chili powder. Mix well, cover and bake at 250F for 8 hours.
  3. In the fryer or in the oven, cook the fries so that they are
    very crispy.
  4. On a plate add the fries, chili, cheese, broil for 1 to 2 minutes. Add the sour cream and sprinkle with chives and jalapeno slices.
