Firebarns Dragon Chicken

Crispy dragon-style chicken, coated in an explosive sauce blending our Ramen Japanese BBQ Sauce, our Ketchup, and our Black Garlic Sriracha. Ginger, sesame, and green onions for an irresistible sweet and spicy finish.

Ingredients

  • 500g of chicken breast, cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp. of cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. of all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp. chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp. red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Frying oil

Sauce

  • 2 to 3 tbsp. of Ramen Japanese BBQ Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Firebarns Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. of rice vinegar
  • 1 to 2 tsp. of Black Garlic Sriracha
  • 2 tsp. sesame oil

Trimmings

  • 2-3 chopped green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, combine the chicken with the cornstarch, flour, egg, ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, and salt. Coat each piece thoroughly. Let marinate for 30 minutes for best flavor.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan or deep fryer. Once it reaches 375°Fry the chicken in small batches for 5 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, mix the Ramen Sauce, Ketchup, Chili Sauce, Black Garlic Sriracha, Vinegar and Sesame Oil.
  4. In a wok or large frying pan, heat a tablespoon of oil over high heat. Add the fried chicken, pour the sauce over it, and stir well to coat all the pieces. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and add the green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy hot, as an appetizer or with rice.
