Cupcakes Lasagne
4 hours (sauce) + 30 minutes • 12 lasagna cupcakes


Who doesn't love lasagna? Bring some to your guests or to your parties without hassle thanks to the practical individual format. A recipe that will please young and old at a potluck evening. All prepared with Italian sausage, ground beef, tomato meat sauce, ricotta and proscuitto, enhanced with our spicy Cayenne sauce!


  • 375 g Italian sausage meat
  • 250g ground beef
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 125 ml of red wine
  • 500 ml tomato sauce
  • 1 C. tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp. tbsp Italian spice blend
  • 50 ml Cayenne hot sauce
  • 12 lasagna noodles (cooked and drained)
  • 12 tbsp. ricotta cheese
  • 12 slices of proscuitto
  • 1 cup grated Italian cheese blend
  • Fresh basil to serve
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, sauté the onion with a drizzle of olive oil for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the Italian sausage meat and ground beef and continue cooking for 5 to 10 minutes or until the meat begins to brown.
  3. Deglaze with red wine, add tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian spices and Firebarns Cayenne. Cover and simmer over low heat for 4 hours.
  4. In a non-stick muffin mold, cut the dough and arrange the lasagna dough in the mold, forming a bottom and an outline.
  5. Add 2 tbsp. of meat sauce, add another layer of lasagna dough, a tablespoon of ricotta, a slice of Prosciutto, 2 tbsp. of meat sauce and cover with grated cheese.
  6. Place in the oven on broil for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is nicely toasted.
  7. Serve with fresh basil.
