Cowboy Hot Dog

Classic hot dogs with a cowboy twist prepared with our Cajun Mardi Gras seasonings, smoked sausages wrapped in bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, perfectly fried onions, pickled jalapeño slices. All deliciously finished with our Bourbon Bacon BBQ sauce which enhances everything brilliantly!

Ingredients

  • 4 hot dog sausages
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 2 to 3 tbsp. Cajun Mardi Gras seasonings
  • 4 hot dog buns, buttered on both sides
  • 4 slices Monterey Jack cheese
  • 10 slices pickled jalapenos
  • 1/2 white onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. Cajun Mardi Gras seasonings
  • 50 mL of Bourbon Bacon BBQ Sauce

Preparation

  1. Wrap hot dogs with bacon slices and sprinkle with Mardi Gras seasonings.
  2. Place on the BBQ until the bacon is cooked through and remove from the heat.
  3. In a bowl, mix the onion, flour and Mardi Gras seasonings.
  4. Place in Air Fryer at 390°F for about 10 minutes or until onions are tender
    are nice and crispy.
  5. In a skillet, toast the buns with the Monterey Jack slices inside until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the hot dogs with the fried onions, Bourbon Bacon BBQ sauce and pickled jalapenos.
