champignons cremeux bacon
40 minutes • 3-4 servings (side dish)


A creamy mushroom recipe perfect as an accompaniment to all your steaks and grills on the BBQ. Made with bacon and our namesake hot sauce, onion, garlic, white wine and cream, these button mushrooms will make your steak accompaniment steal the show. You can even add crushed bacon chips at the end to add even more bacon to the recipe, which no one can say no to!


  • 450 g button mushrooms
  • 250g bacon cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup of 15% cream
  • 2 to 3 tbsp. Bacon hot sauce
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 2 to 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 50 ml of white wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chives to serve
  • Crushed bacon chips (optional)


  1. In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crisp and place on absorbent paper.
  2. In the same pan, deglaze with the white wine and add the onion, garlic and mushrooms.
  3. Continue cooking over high heat for about 10 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat to half and add the cream and Bacon hot sauce.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and continue cooking until the sauce has reduced by half.
  6. Add the bacon, mix and continue cooking for a few minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with chives and serve with a steak of your choice or grilled meats on the BBQ.
