BRAISED BEEF PARTY NACHOS

Football season is here again and we have the perfect nachos for your football tailgate at home served in your choice of individual Doritos bag topped with braised beef enhanced with our BBQ Steak Sauce and El Paso Tex-Mex Spices. Serve with sliced ​​jalapeno peppers, chives and sour cream to finish. A cheesy nachos that will keep your eyes on the game!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup BBQ Steak sauce
  • 1 oz whiskey
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 1 C. tablespoon of butter
  • 1 C. tablespoon of flour
  • 1 cup of 35% cream
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoon of cheese spread
  • 1 cup grated Tex-Mex cheese
  • 1 C. tbsp El Paso Tex-Mex spice
  • 6 individual bags of Doritos chips (your choice)
  • Sour cream, chives and jalapeño peppers to serve

Preparation

  1. In a large saucepan over high heat, sear the meat on each side with the olive oil and remove. Deglaze the pan with the whiskey, add the beef broth and Firebarns Steak BBQ sauce. Return the piece of meat to the pan, cover and place in the oven at 275°F for 4 hours or until the beef shreds easily.
  2. Remove the piece of meat and shred it completely. Meanwhile, return the pan to the heat, bring to the boil and reduce by half. Combine shredded beef with sauce and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and flour. Add the cream and bring to the boil, whisking lightly. Over medium heat, add the cheese spread, grated cheese and El Paso Tex-Mex spices. Leave to simmer over low heat until the sauce is smooth and smooth, whisking lightly. Remove from heat and reserve.
  4. Open the bags of Doritos and fold the edges in half. Add the cheese sauce, braised beef and stir in the sour cream, chives and jalapeño peppers before serving.
