Easter Baloney

You don't have the budget for the traditional Easter ham this year, no problem, we have the solution for you! A delicious Easter Baloney prepared with butter and maple syrup, enhanced with our Tennessee Whiskey BBQ sauce, Baseball Mustard and Mardi Gras spices. We won't make a dent in your budget with this Easter delight!

Ingredients

  • 4.5 kg of baloney
  • 1/2 cup baseball mustard
  • 100 g Cajun Mardi Gras spices
  • 350 ml Tennessee Whiskey BBQ sauce
  • 100 ml melted butter
  • 100 ml maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Preheat pellet smoker to 300°F (can work with a conventional stove).
  2. Make incisions approximately 1 to 2 centimeters deep across the entire piece to produce a grid pattern.
  3. Brush the entire piece with Baseball Mustard and sprinkle generously with Mardi Gras spices.
  4. Place on smoker or oven rack directly for 1 hour.
  5. Baste every 20 minutes or so for 2 hours, alternating between Tennessee Whiskey BBQ sauce, melted butter and maple syrup.
  6. Cut into slices and serve with mashed potatoes or roast in the pan to accompany your Easter brunch.
