Rediscover this exotic fruit from South America in a version wrapped in bacon and brushed with spiced rum. A perfect starter to wow your guests prepared with our Caribbean jerk spice blend.


  • 6 slices of pineapple
  • 3 tbsp. Caribbean jerk spice
  • 12 slices of bacon
  • 100 ml spiced rum
  • Chives to serve
  • BBQ Sauceof your choice to serve


  1. Brush the pineapple slices on both sides with the spiced rum. Sprinkle both sides with Caribbean jerk spices.
  2. Wrap the pineapple slices with the bacon (about 2 slices of bacon per pineapple slice).
  3. Cook on the BBQ until the bacon is nicely crispy. Flip halfway through cooking.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped chives and serve with your favorite BBQ sauce. We used Texas Chicken Ribs in the recipe.
