Cheeseburger Tortellini on the Plancha

Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside tortellini, mixed with well-seasoned ground beef, Firebarns BBQ Steak Sauce and gooey orange cheese. Served cheeseburger style with iceberg lettuce, white onions, sesame seeds and Firebarns Burger Sauce.

Ingredients

Tortellini

  • 700 g cooked and drained tortellini
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. steak seasonings

Cheeseburger Beef

  • 500 g lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp. steak seasonings
  • 3 to 4 tbsp. Steak BBQ Sauce
  • 6 to 8 slices American cheese

To serve

  • Firebarns Burger Sauce, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 small white onion, finely chopped
  • 1 to 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Black pepper, to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat the griddle to medium-high heat. It needs to be very hot to grill the tortellini and caramelize the beef.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked and drained tortellini with olive oil and steak seasoning. Toss to coat the pasta thoroughly.
  3. Place the tortellini on the hot griddle. Grill for 5 to 7 minutes, turning frequently, until golden brown and slightly crispy. Push them to one side of the griddle.
  4. Add the ground beef to the griddle. Season with steak seasoning, then cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until well browned.
  5. Pour the Steak BBQ Sauce over the beef and mix well. Let it caramelize for 1 to 2 minutes for a juicy and flavorful texture.
  6. Return the tortellini to the beef and mix everything directly on the griddle.
  7. Place the slices of orange cheese over the tortellini and beef mixture. Cover briefly with a dome or metal lid to melt the cheese.
  8. Transfer to a large serving dish. Garnish with iceberg lettuce, white onions, sesame seeds, and a generous drizzle of Firebarns Burger Sauce.
  9. Serve immediately, hot, with extra Burger Sauce in the center of the table.
