Shrimp & Bacon Skewers

Tender Argentinian shrimp wrapped in golden bacon, brushed with olive oil seasoned with black garlic Sriracha, smoked paprika, and brown sugar. Grilled in 2-3 minutes per side on the BBQ, with grilled lemon and chives for the finishing touch!

Ingredients

  • 18 wild Argentine shrimp
  • 6 slices thick bacon, cut 3
  • Wooden skewers
  • Chopped chives for serving

Basting Marinade

  • 125 ml olive oil
  • 3 tbsp Firebarns Black Garlic Sriracha
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 3 drops of red food coloring (optional)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Preparation

1. Prepare the skewers

  • Preheat the BBQ to medium-high heat.
  • Thread 3 shrimp and 3 pieces of bacon onto each skewer and brush with the marinade on each side

2. Cooking

  • Place the skewers on the oiled grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the bacon is crispy and baste while cooking (For a spicier version, add black garlic Sriracha.

3. Serve hot

  • Garnish with grilled lemon or a drizzle of black garlic Sriracha for a final boost.
