PESTO PIZZA WITH GHOST & BASIL
A pistachio pesto pizza recipe perfect for the summer season spiced up with our Ghost hot sauce and prepared with capicollo, fresh mozzarella, parmesan and fresh basil.
A perfect match of flavors to impress a first date to be prepared on the BBQ or in a conventional oven depending on the weather outside.
Ready in just 30 minutes if your dough is store-bought or was already prepared in advance, this recipe's effort-to-result ratio is perfect!
1 pizza dough ball
75 g of capicollo
150 g of fresh mozzarella
25 g of pistachios
1 cup of fresh basil
1 tsp of finely chopped garlic
1 cup of olive oil
¼ cup of parmesan cheese
25 ml of lemon juice
7 to 10 drops of Ghost hot sauce
In a food processor, blend pistachios, basil, garlic, parmesan, olive oil, lemon juice and Ghost hot sauce. Mix well until smooth.
On a floured work surface, shape the dough into a pizza of the desired shape and thickness.
Spread the pesto over the dough as a sauce. Add fresh mozzarella balls and capicollo slices.
Sprinkle with crushed pistachios and bake or BBQ at 450°F for approx. 15 minutes.
Place fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of oil on the pizza before serving.
