STOUT IRISH STEW
The perfect menu for St. Patrick's week with a typical stout beer Irish Stew that will take you straight to Ireland.
Enhanced with our Bacon Hot Sauce, this stew prepared with cubed beef, black beer, chopped leek, carrots and potatoes is sure to please everyone.
Served with sliced baguette and green onion to taste!
2 lbs of stewing beef cubes
1 drizzle of olive oil
2 cups of black beer
2 cups of beef broth
1 cup chopped leeks
2 carrots, cut into 2 cm slices
2 white potatoes, coarsely diced
1 tsp. of finely chopped garlic
2 tbsp. ofBacon hot sauce
3 tbsp. of flour
2 sprigs of rosemary
Salt and pepper to taste
Green onions to serve
Serve with baguette bread
In a large saucepan, brown the beef cubes in two parts in olive oil. When cubes begin to brown on both sides. Remove from pan and set aside.
In the same pan, sauté the onion, garlic and leeks for 2 to 3 minutes and add the flour.
Deglaze with black beer, add potatoes, carrots, beef broth and Bacon hot sauce.
Add 2 sprigs of rosemary. Season with salt and pepper and cover. Simmer over low heat for 2 1/2 hours.
