BACON OKLAHOMA BURGER
The snow is slowly melting, making way for a perfect BBQ season for this Oklahoma Smash Burger recipe.
Enhanced with our Bacon Mayo and Montreal steak seasonings and prepared with sliced onions, this burger is perfect for a summertime dip.
Cook it on the stove, BBQ or campfire in camping mode!
500 g of medium lean ground beef
4 slices of thick-cut cooked bacon
2 brioche buns
8 slices of orange cheese
1/2 white onion cut in thin rings
4 tbsp. of Bacon Mayo
4 tbsp. of Montreal steak seasonings
Sprinkle ground beef with Montreal Steak seasonings, separate into 4 equal parts and shape into 4 compact balls.
In a large cast iron skillet that is very hot on the stove, BBQ or directly over a campfire, place the meat balls, add the sliced onions to the top of the balls and add parchment paper to the top of the balls.
Flatten as much as possible using a press or a small cast iron skillet. Cook for about 2 minutes on each side and add 2 slices of cheese on each ball. Remove from heat and let cheese melt on top of the meatballs.
Toast the bread, spread the bottom with Bacon Mayo, add the Bacon and add the 2 patties on top of the other. Spread the top of the bread with Bacon Mayo, close and serve.
