SPICY MUFFALETTA BITES
A recipe for simple bites perfect for entertaining or for bringing to your family parties.
Enhanced with our Original Hot Sauce and prepared with Italian cold cuts (capicollo, salami and mortadella), black olives and Kalamata, this recipe will please the whole family.
The look and taste is great for having invested so little time!
3 large wheat tortillas
6 slices of capicollo
9 slices of salami
6 slices of mortadella
6 slices of provolone cheese
6 tbsp. of roasted peppers & garlic whipped cream cheese
3 tbsp. coarsely chopped black olives
3 tbsp coarsely chopped Kalamata olives
3 tbsp. roasted red peppers (in jar)
2 tbsp. of Firebarns Original Hot Sauce
Whole black olives to serve
In a bowl, combine olives, roasted red bell pepper, Firebarns Original and set aside.
On a tortilla, add 2 tablespoons of cream cheese about 2 cm from the edge, then add 3 tablespoons of the olive mixture, 2 slices of capicollo, 3 slices of salami, 2 slices of mortadella and 2 slices of provolone.
Roll the tortilla on itself, tightly like a burrito. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Repeat steps with remaining 2 tortillas.
Cut the tortillas into 3 cm slices, stick a toothpick in them and add a whole black olive.
Serve on a wooden board or serving platter.
